Online classes are now available! There are five classes to choose from. Roll Call Basics is a great class for your church office personnel. It is a free class and covers at a high level the membership, donations and groups areas of the software. The Membership class is designed for the church administrative assistant who is responsible for the contact information, directories and communications. The Donations class is geared toward the church or parish treasurer. The Groups class is perfect for your children's ministry leader or small group coordinator. While the Advanced classes is great for your churches technical team or anyone who wants to get in and write their own queries and reports.

At By the Book , we are committed to providing church software to churches and non-profit ministries that will assist them in fulfilling their ministry. In the mid 1980’s, we became aware of the need for our church to track and manage data about members, attendance, classes, donations and more…so we looked for some church management software to help. But what we found was disappointing, and often barely usable.
We set out to create an application that would do what the church needed, but would be easy
to use for part time volunteers and church office personnel. In 1991 we introduced Roll Call, and we’ve been refining it ever since. We’ve also added Honor Roll, a similar application for non-profit ministries.
