There are many reasons that you may decide to keep attendance information for your classes and groups. You may need to report attendance to denominational offices, maybe you want to be able to track trends in involvement, or even to understand who is really involved in your church, or to find those folks who are falling through the cracks. Roll Call can help you accomplish these goals.
Attendance can be tracked for any group or class that you have set up in Roll Call. There are two ways to track that attendance. First you can manually enter the information by simply highlighting the class and clicking Attendance on the action bar. From the attendance screen, click on the name of the person to mark them present. To quickly move through the list of people, "type ahead" the first few characters of their last name. The cursor will be moved to that name.
The second options for tracking group/class attendance is to use the check-in system with Roll Call. The check-in portion of the program allows you to setup kiosks that allow people to check into their activity. Once they check in, a name tag can be printed and attendance is automatically recorded.
Once your attendance is recorded, there are many different reports that can be generated. You can run a department statistics report for a given week to show how many attended each class for a department, for example Children's Ministry. You can run a weekly attendance report to view attendance over a series of weeks for a group or multiple groups. You can run the Absent/Present report to determine who has been absent so many weeks. Then you can follow up with those folks as appropriate.
