How do I backup?

Backing up your data is one of the most important things you can do for your church.  Like any database software, the Roll Call data file needs to be backed up periodically.  How often you backup depends on how much data you are willing to lose.

To backup Roll Call on a single user version, do the following:
1)  Select File>Backup from the main Roll Call menu
2)  Navigate to the drive and folder you'd like to make your backup
3)  Click OK

You can do the backup in a more automated function if you are using Roll Call Server.  To set up the automatic backup do the following:

1)  From the Roll Call Server dashboard, select File>Backup
2)  Click on the PREFERENCES

3)  Click on the Configuration link to indicate where you'd like to backup.

4)  Click on the Scheduler link to set how often you'd like to backup.

5)  Click on the Backup link to set the general preferences.  For example, how many backups you wish to keep, which ones should be deleted, etc.
