I have a “donation” that is not tax deductible. How do I enter it?

This type of donation should be entered as a quid pro quo item. To accomplish this, select Donations>Enter Donations from the main menu. Enter the donation as you would a regular donation, except also put the amount under the quid pro quo amount. This will make it non-tax deductible.

For example, John Smith purchases a CD for $10 from your church. To record this transaction, enter John Smith as the donor and $10 as the total amount. In the lower left portion of the screen, enter CD as the quid pro quo item and $10 as the quid pro quo amount.
