For those churches that want internet access to their Roll Call database, but don’t want the hassle of setting up and maintaining VPN or Port Forwarding, our hosting program is the perfect solution.

How it works

Keep in mind, Roll Call is still a software solution.  First you would purchase your software license.  Click here for pricing information.  The benefit to your church is that you own the software, so if you decide you don’t want us to host it anymore… you can install Roll Call on your local machines and continue to use it.  We will provide you with your data file whenever you ask for it.

For us to host your Roll Call Server on the Cloud, there is a one time set up fee of $75.00 and a monthly charge starting at $50.  See pricing information.  We will install Roll Call Server software on our server machines, which are housed in a world class data center, and provide you with a network address.  You will need to install Roll Call Client software on all computers that may need access to Roll Call.  When you launch Roll Call Client for the first time, you will need to enter that network address.

What we do

We will be responsible for installing your Roll Call Server software.  We will make sure all the server settings are optimized.  As patch releases are made available we will install those for you, so that you are always on the latest version of the software

We will backup your data file and journal file (transactions since last backup) each day.  Backups will be maintained on an external drive as well as at a remote location.

In the case of a computer or hard drive crash, we will get a new machine or drive installed, re-install Roll Call Server and recover your database from the latest backup.

System Requirements | Roll Call Hosting

Roll Call Client

Each computer that will be connecting into Roll Call, will need to have Roll Call Client installed.  The following are the requirements for those computer.

Hardware Requirements:  Windows Pentium 4 minimum.  Mac (Intel) minimum OSX 5.8 or greater.  Mac Power PC machines are not supported.

Operating Systems:  Windows XP SP3, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2008, OS X 10.5.8 , OS X 10.6.4, OSX 10.7.2
Memory:  1Gb minimum, 2 Gb recommended
Video:  Minimum 1024 x 768 resolution


Each Roll Call Client computer will need to have access to the internet.  The faster the internet speed the better.  Dial up will not work.
If you will be using the child check in functionality, the Roll Call client machines may need the following accessories:

Name tag Printer

The printer that is used for name tags and parent security tags is the Dymo Labelwriter 450 or Dymo Labelwriter 450 Turbo.  The Dymo 330 or 400 series will also work.  Roll Call's child check is written specifically for this printer it is the ONLY one that will work.

Scanner and Barcode

The bar code scanner that you use must be a usb keyboard wedge device.  It must read code 39 bar code fonts and be configurable to read 1 character.
If you do not order keytags from us, make sure the printer knows the following:  The bar code must be code 39 and the number must end with a Q.

Fingerprint Scanner and Software

To use the fingerprint software and scanner, you must use one of the Windows operating systems listed above.  You will need a usb port available for the fingerprint scanner.
